  Elizabeth White

Elizabeth White is a Producer/Director at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol. She began her career as a zoologist, graduating with a degree and phD in animal behaviour from the University of Bristol in 2003 (her thesis was on vision and visual behaviour in fish). While working on her thesis she worked part-time on the series Blue Planet and joined the BBC in 2004. 

A keen photographer and scuba diver, she has filmed all over the world from the tropics to the poles and worked across a range of formats, from presenter led films to landmark series. In 2010 she won the Best Short Film award for her film, The Coral Gardener, at the Wildscreen Wildlife Film Festival. 

From 2007-2011 Elizabeth worked as a director on the hit TV series, 'Frozen Planet' which took her to the furthest corners of the globe to document the wildlife, people and the landscape of the polar regions.
