This fascinating clip from Hippo Beach, is part of the Natural World series by the BBC Natural History Unit. Narrated by Stephen Fry, we see the social structures of the hippos, who have specially designated areas for hippo grazing nurseries on Langwau Beach in Zambia. In the second clip we see several hundred hippos in the Zambezi River, with great footage of the bull hippo, who is a real dictator, as he demands complete respect from all the surrounding hippos.
