This clip takes you on a journey to the ocean depths from the programme, 2000ft Deep – An Ocean Odyssey, by the BBC Natural History Unit. Watch the first clip of an enormous beached sperm whale, trapped in shallow waters, followed by a fascinating exploration of the life it leads in the murky waters of the deep ocean. The second clip looks at the giant squid, which only lives in the dark watery depths and may well end up as dinner for the predatory sperm whale. In the third clip a young sperm whale desperately hunts for food to avoid starvation, as it searches for marine life to eat 1,000m below the surface.
