Wendy has over 20 years of experience working in the NHU across a wide portfolio of output including, animal behaviour led landmark, features and formats, children's including factual/entertainment, animal drama’s, live and interactive formats, presenter led, documentary and drama-reconstructions for both terrestrial BBC channels as well as a wide range of digital channels in the UK and overseas.
In Autumn 2006, she took over the children’s natural history area and as Exec Producer has grown and developed this innovative and successful part of the business.
Having completed her PhD on coral reefs on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia and her B.Sc. studying geology and zoology, Wendy has a passion to connect younger audiences with the natural world by delivering outstanding natural history output both in the UK and worldwide.
As of April 2012 Wendy was appointed as the acting head of the BBC’s Natural History Unit.
