Nicola Brown, Production Co-ordinator on Human Planet
Nicola studied English, Film & Television at The University of Wales, Aberystwyth before starting out in the BBC Wales drama office in 2006. Learning the ropes on entertainment and children’s programmes Doctor Who Confidential and Totally Doctor Who, Nicola then went on to work as a Floor Runner on dramas Doctor Who and Torchwood. Highlights included being made an honorary dalek and working at the Cinecittà Studios
in Rome.
In 2009 Nicola decided to follow her passion for documentaries and landed a Production Management Assistant role in the BBC Wales Factual Department. This role provided a wealth of opportunities, allowing her to work across series such as Coast and one-off documentaries like The Man Behind the Masquerade, Montezuma and Being Neil Armstrong. In February 2010 Nicola applied to work on Human Planet and has been with the production right through to transmission.
